Pedri Animation Signs with Distribution360 for George and Paul

TORONTO, CANADA (January 30, 2017) - Two new animated best friends are joining the lineup of kids and family programming at Distribution360, following a deal with Dutch animation studio Pedri Animation to represent their preschool property George and Paul internationally.

The new 26 x 5 minute stop-motion animated series introduces the world to George and Paul, two best friends who build a world of adventures together, where everything exists as wooden blocks. Using their imagination and curiosity, the pair are always coming up with funny and useful creations to help in their adventures.

The series is produced by Pedri Animation with co-producers Beast Animation and Dutch public broadcaster NTRGeorge and Paul was created and directed by Ka-Ching Cartoons.

“Building a world using the simplicity of children’s toy blocks feels timeless and something that kids the world over will understand and engage with,” said Diane Rankin, SVP, International, Distribution360. “The two characters are best friends despite having quite opposite personalities, which also adds to the fun and appeal for children navigating their first friendships.”

In addition to the George and Paul series, a second season of kids live-action series The Mystery Files from Apartment 11 Productions has also been added to D360’s growing catalogue of kids and family programming which has doubled in the last year. The series, commissioned TVO Kids, brings Kyla, E.B, and their Aunt Tilly on adventures after they inherit a mysterious set of boxes containing ancient objects from their Great Aunt Hermione.
