A Perfect Cure1 x 60'
- Summerhill Media
285 Million people worldwide live with some form of blindness. A Perfect Cure is an immersive and honest exploration of vision loss through the stories of three inspiring individuals who have gained a unique appreciation of their disability that they would have never imagined at diagnosis. The film juxtaposes the medical model and the social model of disability and how much further we still need to go to change perceptions.
The documentary features: Molly Burke, a motivational speaker and YouTuber who was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a rare retinal disease that causes vision loss, at the age of four; Nicole Nanjad, a self-proclaimed adventurer at heart who lost her vision as the result of a brain tumour; and Stuart Matan Lithwick, a husband, father and scientist who was abruptly diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa as a university student. Each share their inspirational journeys of how losing their vision made them truly see.
